O' Christmas Tree

Love making use of scraps.

I decided to make a Christmas Tree Decor from ribbon scraps.

Very easy...

I started by cutting the ribbon scraps all the same length and then cluing the the ends together

Just kept staggering and gluing all the way to the top =)

Holiday Cheer!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I have been trying to figure out a cute way to display my Christmas cards and thanks to Pinterest I found one!

I started by taking an old frame and spray painting it red

Then made some fabric flowers to accessorize it =)

Then added some ribbon to the back of the frame and viola!

Can't wait to receive my first Christmas card in the mail so I can add it to my frame =)

Hope you enjoyed! =)

Proverbs 13:4

"The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied."
Proverbs 13:4

My last blog was on how neglectful I was and how I would try my best to keep up weekly with my blog.... FAIL!

I have decided that its time to actually get organized and diligent! Thanks to Pinterest I have gotten some great ideas and put them together to make my own Home Management Binder.

I thought I would share my project with you! Hopefully this will help me stay organized with my time and home, and therefore will stay on top of my blog! I have a tab in my binder for projects, one including my blog! So lets see how this will go....

I have 5 Dividers:
Daily
Menu
To Do/Projects
Dates
Finances

Daily:
Includes Daily Menu, Morning/Afternoon/Before Bed Checklists, & Notes
On Sundays it also includes Weekly Goals and To Dos

Menu: Weekly Menus with Grocery List
 Running To Do
Project List includes supplies needed, date for completion
Finances: To Pay folder for when bills and sheet to keep track of when bills are due, when paid, and confirmation of payment
Hope you enjoyed! And maybe it inspired you to get organized in your own life!

Neglectful...

This was one of my worries when starting a blog... I would neglect it.

I've been on vacation and the new puppies are taking much of my time... but sadly they will be gone in a couple of weeks. =( If I could I would keep them all, but are house is not enough for the two we already have.

All this to say, I'm sorry for anyone who actually does follow my blog, soon I hope to have a more regular blog, at least try for once a week.

I do have a project tucked away that I have not shared yet... I do hope you enjoy.

This was inspired by an EAD Designs Before and After blog post awhile back...

I made this for a friends birthday, to hang jewelry on. It was very simple. I just got a wood block from Hobby Lobby, painted it white, added some decorative paper, then added some EAD rub-ons, and lastly added some drawer pulls! Cute huh? I kinda wanted to keep for myself =)
Note: Make sure you have the proper glue for the drawer pulls otherwise they will fall off very easily.
I used a 2 part proxy

Long Overdue

Sadly, I have neglected my blog... =(

But I must say that I have some good reasons:
1) My husband and I had been out of town - Colorado Springs - It was beautiful!

2) We had puppies!!! Well ok, we didn't, my dogs did...
Aren't they precious!?!?!

Which brings me to my craft...
The puppies actually were born the morning before we got back from Colorado, therefore our friends David & Casey and my Mom took good care of my momma dog and the puppies while we were away. So, I made a little thank you for them being so TEA-rrific!

(This craft is inspired by EAD Designs - She's Crafty blog)

Hope you enjoyed!

Happy Mother's Day (a day late)

I know I am a day late, but yesterday was busy with the church, Mavs game (which we dominated the lakers), and Mother's Day festivity's but...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Thank you Mother's and future Mother's for everything you do and the sacrifices you make for your children.
Special thanks to my mother! She is means so much to me and I don't tell her enough! She never quits, I don't know where she finds the energy and time to do all the things she does for me, my brothers, our church, her husband, etc. Thank you mom, for being you!! I love you!

My blog is finally here....

I have been talking about making a blog for a while now, and I'm finally getting around to it. I came up with many excuses not to... "who would even bother reading," "I'm not an eloquent writer," "what do I have to contribute," "What happens when I don't keep up with it,"... the list goes on.

But I've decided enough with the excuses and even if nobody reads the blog, its a good way to express myself and journal my different crafts.

So I have many crafts put away in my "file cabinet", but this one I made today and I have to say it is one of my favorites so far. So enjoy!

 LAP DESK

I started with a old cutting board I found at the thrift store and painted over it...
I then added EAD Designs Retro Spring Rub-ons

Then, found some cute fabric and made a pillow...

And put it all together....

Hope you enjoyed!
